Ireland 19-10 Wales: Home side move to No 1 in the world in Joe Schmidt’s final Dublin Test

After a victory over Wales, Ireland transferred to No 1 in the world rugby rankings on Saturday for the first time in history at the Aviva Stadium in their World Cup Test.
In head coach Joe Schmidt and ruler Rory Best Dublin Test, tries by Rob Kearney, tighthead next row James Ryan and Tadhg Furlong, plus two conversions out of Johnny Sexton got Ireland the win, with their outstanding second-half display striking.
A try by punishment from Leigh Halfpenny and Wales centre Hadleigh Parkes had given a first-half 10-7 lead to Wales, but they succumbed to their defeat in four pre-World Cup Tests.
September 23, ireland and Scotland on Sunday, September 22 within their Rugby World Cup opener next drama in Japan, while Wales face Georgia in their very first game every day after on Monday.
